Iroquois Innovations, creators of the Kitty Cat Loft, was registered as a company in the state of Ohio on April 12,1996. Richard Jonila, founder and president, has over 26 years’ experience as a carpenter and cabinet maker. In this work, Richard learned to make superior wood products. With these skills and over time, he began to turn his ideas into innovative products, ranging from decorative landscaping items to useful wood products for the home.

The Kitty Cat Loft is Born
Both avid cat lovers, Richard and his wife together came up with the idea for the Kitty Cat Loft. Originally designed to deter their own felines from climbing their drapes, it achieved its purpose and took up minimal space in the process! Since its initial creation, Iroquois Innovations has built and shipped countless spiral cat staircases for happy feline customers nationwide. Each staircase is still handmade by Richard.

The Kitty Cat Loft was granted a U.S. patent in November 1998, attesting to its innovative design.
